A window for winners

ENERGATE 1042 [+] wooden windows and doors are a winning product: The winner of the international architecture competition "Solar Decathlon 2007" to design, build and operate the most attractive and energy-efficient solar-powered house was fitted with these windows. An important contribution for the construction of the house was the ENERGATE windows from Häußler. They help to achieve an excellent energy balance and provide the building with as much transparency as possible; thus providing maximum daylight inside the house whilst reducing the need for electric lighting. The Architecture Jury said "the house pushed the envelope on all levels". As regards looks and functionality Darmstadt "achieved everything possible".
